The GPL says, in essence, that the source must be released in the
preferred form for hacking it.  I can put CDs, records, & tapes in my
interpreter machine & apply the usual operations to produce vibrations
- volume, tone, scratching the records, whatever - so the usual media
seems fine to me :)

Think of it this way - no impediments to usage or distribution.  No
printouts for source, or disassembled binaries.
