i just joined the list with great expectations.
i've been using linux now about 2 years. the reason
i changed to linux was music making with better tools
(csound worked ok under windoze) but there are several
good programs that only work under *nix.
i've been doing music with computers some 5 years.
i've written a whole bunch of poems, got published one
book and i have some of my poems also translated into
english. as things in linux evolve, winword is gathering dust,
now i'm using lyx or klyx solely for my writings too.
i've got a degree in computers and i used to work
as a software designer, but gave up careers and free
lunches for making art. life is poor, poetry or computer
music isn't a big hit here in finland but working as a weirdo
in a big company where the only grief of the workers was
to move to a bigger house or change one's car to a newer or
faster model, wasn't really worth it.
