thanks to all of you who contacted me,expressing interest and offering advice
about saving the kent school model.
i contacted many people over the last couple of months, but never the kent
school itself.for some reason i thought they would not be interestedin housing
this large, heavy 50-year-old modelof the school that they are very familiar
with.
well, i was wrong.
a fellow lincolnite is friends with a mother of a child who attends the kent
schooland she got in touch with the principal today, who would love to have the
model back at the school -especially since they are celebrating the school's
50th anniversary this year.and the model is 51 years old now.
who knew???!
i'm so glad that the model will be reunited with the actual buildingand that it
won't be going to the dump tomorrow.
thanks to all who helped me to find a way to preserve this piece of
architectural history --in less than 24 hours!
what a great town this is,and what a great resource lincolntalk is!
