Please be informed that the Lincoln METCO Parent Board's 1st Annual Juneneeth Celebration event, in collaboration with the METCO Coordinating Committee (MCC), WILL still be held tomorrow, June 12th from 1pm-3pm--rain, clouds, or shine! Don't forget to bring a lawn chair or a blanket! NOTE: We will move indoors if it rains. 1:00pm - Welcome 1:05 - Tribal Land Acknowledgement - Leah Johnson (7th gr) 1:10 - Poetry Reading - Naomi Robertson (former METCO parent) 1:15-1:25pm - History of Juneteenth/Cultural significance of STEP - Mark Liddell 1:25 - LPS STEP Team 1:40-3:00pm - CELEBRATION TIME (Carribean Food Truck, Ice Cream, Dancing, Vendors, Bouncy Houses, Lawn games, Face Painting, Temporary Tatoos, and much much more!!!)
