Public Notice Renaming of Columbus Day
Last spring, Lincoln students wrote to the Select Board to request that the Town change the name of the Columbus Day holiday to Indigenous Peoples' Day. The Board will discuss the proposal during its September 19th meeting, and likely take the matter under advisement until its October 3rd meeting to provide residents the opportunity to share their views before a vote is taken. The Select Board's meetings are held in a hybrid format, creating the opportunity for residents to attend in-person or via Zoom.
