The whole "cyclists never stop at stop signs is a big red herring" and is
just a lazy response to the much bigger (literally bigger, as many of the
new EV's, not to mention the best selling vehicle in the US, the Ford F150,
have and will continue to result in even greater increases in weight and
speed, the two biggest factors in crash severity and morbidity outcomes)
issues we all face as road users.

There is also a lot of data as to why cyclists should NOT have to stop at
stop signs.

And yes, my post was snarky.  If there is sun in your eyes and you can't
see what is in front of you when you are driving, the thing to do is to
pull over until the conditions permit you to resume driving again.  It is
that simple.
