No. No. Long Pond is/was in Lincoln. Anne Sobol might know it.

I remember mostly skating on DeNormandie's pond on Trapelo Road.  We also skated on Beaver Pond.  We walked around Lawrence Anderson's house (now Lawlers', Lawrence's sister Judith Lawler), and down the hill to the pond.  This was in the 1950's.

Crack the whip.  Me in blue coat in the middle, with my two best friends on either side (Deb Taylor in white sweater on my right and Edie Pierce in red coat and hat on my left).  My brother David in red coat and hat on Deb's right.  My sister Mary to Edie's left, and to Mary's left I think Donaldson boys, maybe Jonah, Craig and Gorny/Gordon.  I'm not sure who's to my brother's right, but it is possibly Tim Taylor on the far right or maybe Lawrence.

At least for a short while one winter we skated on Fairhaven Bay and a bit up and down the Sudbury.  Needed to have ice and no snow.

There is a Long Pond south of Boston, near Plymouth.  Could that be the one you're thinking of?

I remember skating on Long Pond in the 1950s. Anyone know where it is?
