A Climate Action Plan Will Help Lincoln Achieve its Climate Goals

To reduce carbon emissions and increase the community’s resilience to climate
change impacts, the Town of Lincoln has embarked on creating a Climate Action
Plan and is gathering input from local residents. Lincoln’s Climate Action Plan
will be driven and supported by stakeholders throughout the community,
including residents, businesses, community organizations, Town staff, and many
of the Town’s boards and committees – such as the Green Energy Committee and
its Climate Action Lincoln Subcommittee. Through inclusive outreach and
engagement, Lincoln will identify needs and goals, and develop achievable
strategies to increase resilience and sustainability, while including equity
and environmental justice throughout the process.

The first Community Workshops were held on March 1 and March 3 and provided
residents with the opportunity to discuss goals and strategies. Even if you
were not able to join the first workshops, the Town wants to hear from you!
Take our survey to share your experiences and recommendations. Your feedback
will directly inform the development of goals and strategies that guide the
Town’s future climate action work. The survey will close on March 27, 2023.

The recordings and presentations from the first Workshops will be posted to the
project page. There will also be two additional workshops on April 12 and April
14, with exact times to be announced. For more information and to join the
