As the daughter of a harpsichord maker, I have some experience with
different types of keyboards and their value. Steinway pianos were at
their zenith, technically, between roughly 1900 and 1910. I have an
upright that was built in 1906, and it has only had to be tuned once in the
ten years I've owned it, and has marvelous sound. Of course, I don't know
anything about the specific piano that Rainer is offering, but if it is in
decent shape, this would be a great instrument to own and play.
