Hi Everyone, Early this year after my mom’s stage 4 ovarian cancer diagnosis, I got involved with Haymakers for Hope. They are a 501c(3) that trains regular people to compete in a boxing match in a large venue and raise funds for cancer research along the way.
For the past three months I’ve been training and fundraising for the event, which will take place Thursday, May 11th at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway Park. Through incredible generosity from friends and family, I've managed to raise just over $10,000 so far for the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, and the event as a whole has raised nearly half a million dollars to fight cancer.
