Hi all,
yes stinging nettles are a beast when you get swiped by them.
However they have a long history as a spring green and other usages .
I use the dried form in tea for hair rinse all winter long, nettle tea for
plants and many use them for soup ...they are full of vitamins and
minerals...and you can read up about them on line..
In their raw form they cause a histamine reaction on the skin...so yes, one
handles them with care, gloves, sleeves, conversation, and even thick
pants.
So
I am done harvesting for today, Friday, but will be harvesting for the next
5 or 6 days if anyone is interested. They are young and fresh. Educate
yourself before purchasing, if you are unfamiliar with them.
