Countless people have recommended HCR’s writing to me, and in turn have recommended her to many many others. She draws parallels between today’s ideas and events in the US and historical ideas and events, and does it in a clear, engaging way. Not only is she a remarkable historian and writer, she’s a completely accessible speaker (BA and doctorate from Harvard, professor of American history at BC) — tonight’s talk should be a good one.
