the ostrich fern is native to the eastern american woodlands. unfurling in a
fiddlehead shape in early spring, it gets its name from the open plumes that

mine grow 2.5' tall, but they can grow taller.grows in full sun if soil is kept
moist.but part sun or full shade is ideal.low maintenance, easy to grow.
they spread easily,so don't plant them if you want them to stay put.great for
an understory area you want to develop or for a fern glade.
you can eat their fiddleheads in the spring!fiddleheads are regarded as a
seasonal delicacy.
