Hello Moira I had recommended Ed a while back after a 4-5 years of delivering great wood for a decent price. This year his prices went up, and the quality and count went straight down. My neighbors who paid for 2 cords got one decent cord and 1/3 of short pieces, hard to stack with odd sizes. My delivery was similar and full of short pieces with carpenter ant/ termite evidence.
My neighbors have been told first for a month that he’ll send more wood, then, that they’ll get a refund. Today in frustration one wrote to me and asked for my help. I am in the same boat; just getting lip service for a month. Please be careful about him. I know he’s had some health issues recently and perhaps that’s why the fall off. His tree work has also been terrible. Without proper supervision, his workers have trounced a neighbors garden, dragged large limbs across her lawn (from an adjacent property) and, recently at my house they broke a healthy 70 year old Mountain Laurel in half and had a limb fall on my bird feeder and break it.
