Thank you so much for the open description of what working with Ed Ap is
like.
Last year actually we ordered at the spring price, in May, no sign of him
till August. We really didn't expect ever to see him.
I kept hoping and so I just called on a whim in late august and reminded
him of his agreement to give us wood...he finally did in September but the
price was a little more than the earlier spring quote. We had to discuss
that one. The wood quality was mixed and arrived in the dark. It was,
however, dry. This year I called VERY EARLY and got him when he had wood
on hand. He did deliver it in a timely manner, however, as mentioned by
someone else, the wood arrived in different qualities. The very short
pieces too, although once again, something I am currently really focused
on, it was dry. The price was not his fall price. He called me recently
offering more wood if we needed it but we didn't so I said I would put out
a little message.
So, I am sorry for anyone else's experience, he is definitely
unpredictable, but it sounds like it is worse than my experience and going
down hill.. And who knows what is going on. I know last year he was
recovering from an injury so I was just waiting...and hoping.

I hope there are better and responsible sources out there for any of you
who need it.
