Acme Theater (https://www.acmetheater.com/) is one of several nearby community theaters that we’ve financially supported and subscribed to over many years.
Previously in Maynard, Acme has re-established itself at the Weston United Methodist Church on Route 117 (at Conant Road). Last night, Barbara, three of our friends, and I saw Acme’s production of “The Cottage” by Sandy Rustin. (A The 2023 Broadway production was directed by Jason Alexander (https://thecottageonbroadway.com/)) The Cottage, a period piece (1925 England), is a hilarious, adult-themed melodrama, and Acme’s production was truly remarkable: a stunning set; great direction and acting; costumes, hair and makeup; etc. Truly, a must see! Only inches away from Lincoln’s border, Acme can and should be a resource for Lincolnites wanting to enjoy and support community theater. * Sunday, June 15 at 3 PM * Friday, June 20 at 8 PM * Saturday, June 21 at 8PM Another opportunity is when Acme Improv presents Artifacts and Absurdities on Friday, June 27 at 8 PM. Here’s the Box Office website: https://www.acmetheater.com/box-office and last night, tickets at the door were available. Regards, Steve Low
