Teman-teman saya ada informasi mengenai GMO:

Genetically modified organisms -- or GMOs -- have been making waves in both
Europe and the USA. The United Nations will be wrapping up deliberations on a
new "biosafety" treaty to establish rules limiting the international trade
and shipment of GMOs, principally seeds and foods such as tomatoes or soy, at
a Jan. 24-28, 2000, meeting in Montreal. Its focus: establishing notification
of shipments, on informed consent, and on limiting movement of products
intended for release directly into the environment -- such as seeds for
planting, as opposed to eating or processing. UN's online background on the
treaty's proposed language, http://www.biodiv.org/. Monique Chiasson, UN
