Ed Colijn posting with its information is interesting; therefore we are just
about to start. The last posting stating that the contract was signed even
before Papua integrated to RI was very intriguing and hinted the political
nuances of Freeport. However, nobody comment on that because possibly nobody
knew.
My question is how to get those kind of information? Are government
contracts considered as public records and therefore available to public?
Before, freedom of information could be labelled western value that could
corrupt stability, now it could be pushed to ensure transparancy. Who would
like to fight for it? Journalists, NGOs, and this kind of mailing lists?
Let's talk more.
