There are a couple possible responses to this question. I've got some commentary online pertaining to lists, and I make rather hefty use of them in the more advanced chapters of my 8.5 intro book. I'd suggest checking those out first. ;) Also there's a PRegEx Xtra available from http://www.openxtras.org/ that lets you do RegEx style text searching. Depending on your needs that might be more suitable. If you decide to go with lists you will probably use property lists. These are very powerful tools, but if they get large -- like several hundred or more deeply-nested entries -- your program's speed will probably suffer, at least while the lists are being created. -- Warren Ockrassa | http://www.nightwares.com/ Director help | Free files | Sample chapters | Freelance | Consulting Author | Director 8.5 Shockwave Studio: A Beginner's Guide Published by Osborne/McGraw-Hill http://www.osborne.com/indexes/beginners_guides.shtml [To remove yourself from this list, or to change to digest mode, go to http://www.penworks.com/lingo-l.cgi To post messages to the list, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Problems, email [EMAIL PROTECTED]).
