Currently, if you're authoring in MX, you have to publish as Flash 5 or
earlier--the Flash Asset Xtra for 8.5 hasn't been released yet.
Macromedia said (about a month ago) that it would be out in 3 months.

Generally, Director 8.5 system requirements are *lower* than 8.0--i.e.,
8.5 will run on an older machine. Minimum specs aren't always useful,
though, when it comes to your program. Flash may slow you down,
depending on how you use it, and that would raise your minimum spec.

I'm curious, though, why you would want to play video through Flash. You
generally will get better results if you play it through Director.
