Everyone,
I'll be selling a Shockwave 3D game on CD ROM this coming summer and I
was going to use a basic protection scheme. (I think it's even been done a
number of times before) I'm going to have the replicator reduce the size of
the CD slightly so that the total space available will be a little below the
standard 650 MB. This is intentional so the software can detect whether or
not it's CD is in the CD ROM drive and not just a copy of the CD.
Of course, in order to do this I'll have to have either Buddy or DirectOS
or some other xtra determine what the CD's total size is so it can check to
see if its' that smaller, customized size that we sold it on.
Has anyone already done something similar or know how?
Thanks in advance,
Darl
