Nope, actually it goes to 30,000 now but, as the docs rather
understate, "you couuld do this only with little animation and a very
powerful machine" -- and since there is no Director for Cray
available yet, I don't think it's an issue. ;)
At any rate you can certainly puppet way up there for the tempo of
your movie, which should get your sprite moving pretty dang fast.
