Hi all

This is just a theoretical question at this point but may well get used in a
project in the near future (after 12 months unemployed, I am now FINALLY
working - hurrah!)...

How feasible is it to layer graphics over the top of a digital video? Up
until now I've always had my movie Direct to Stage and designed a viewport
into the screen to hold the movie, but now I'm looking at some kind of
non-rectangular container for a video clip.

I'd rather still keep the movie Direct-to-Stage for the performance boost,
but I don't know of a way to place stuff over the top in that event. I've
heard something about masking a Quicktime but unsure as to what this
entails. Additionally, it'd be nice if the layering images were 32-bit so I
could use an alpha blend over a running DV.

Ambitious I know, which is why it's theoretical...

Thanks and virtual beers to any and all assistants!

Ross
