Actually there was a more recent discussion about this on Direct-L here: http://listserv.uark.edu/scripts/wa.exe?A2=ind0210D&L=direct-l&D=1&m=108871&P=16006&D=0 Some in the thread suggest restarting Director - this does not work, another suggestion is to comment out all code that creates symbols, recompile scripts, then save and compact - no idea whether this works or not.
