Stop events during processing

Hi!
I have a kind of Slide show where the user move forward and backwards between images by pressing a key. After the user press on the key the program move to another image. Everything is fine but when I click to fast the program jump images or even comeback to the Main screen (that is the screen at the beginning, before the user begin the slide show).

Does anyone know how to solve this problem
