"The QT Asset Xtra (any version) just allows Director to use whichever QT is installed within a system. Often when the system's QT gets upgraded, an older version of Director will automatically get to use the capabilities of the newly installed QT."
d8 is recent enough that it should work just fine w/any QT version after 3.
