Locke,

I have done something similar with Buddy API and PowerPoint.
You might be able to do what you want with an Active X control, if you don't
mind a PC-only solution.

There are some good tutorials on DOUG. Search for "Powerpoint". The PPT
technique could probably be adapted to other apps as well.
