Shockwave Packages for the Amplitude Xtra Available Now! ======================================================== We are pleased to announce that the Amplitude Xtra can now be used with Shockwave movies in a browser. The new Shockwave xtra packages are included in the complete Amplitude Xtra archive and are also available separately for the convenience of existing users. The Amplitude Xtra enables Director movies to receive amplitude (sound energy) information for sound cast members in real-time as a sound is played. This information can then be used to... + animate sprites in time with music and speech + draw sound waveforms using Director sprites in real-time + achieve lip-sync for character animations and a whole range of other sound synchronization applications. The Amplitude Xtra supports all major sound formats including AIFF, WAV, MP3 and SWA and can also be used with streaming audio in a browser.
