Hi Lisa,
Previewing Director files in the browser simply opens the Shockwave file,
without any HTML template. To make a more appealing presentation of your
.dcr, you need to embed it in an HTML file. This is akin to placing a Flash
movie or even an ordinary image in the web page. Only, this time you place
a Shockwave media file.
There are two ways that come to mind that achieve this. One is to use the
Publish option in the File menu in Director, but it is not available in
versions of Director prior to 7. The second option is to use an HTML editor
like Frontpage or Dreamweaver to place the Shockwave file inside your web
page. This allows you maximum flexibility for positioning and stuff like
that.

Is there a way in which you are able to make the preview of your movie
appear in
the centre of the screen, as opposed to the top left hand corner.

Regards,
Pranav
