You can, kind of, use Flash 5 in D8, but you can't access the scripting
like Tribid wants.
You can pretty reliably save a Flash 5 movie as Flash 4, and it works ok in
D8. No access to the scripting, though.
I'd suggest you submit it to the Director wish list, but in this case,
don't bother--Macromedia are well aware of the issue. Are they going to fix
it? Can't say, but Macromedia has a pretty good track record in supporting
its products (except for Authorware).
