The freebytes remains steady during video playback, its when I'm loading in
lots of graphics or doing tweening (fade ins and outs) that freebytes is
giving erroneous numbers.

I'm only running 10 videos in total. The opening one is 57 meg, the others
average about 20-30 and one almost NEVER gets run. So I think my problem
lies elsewhere, but thanks for the input.
