If you are using avi format movies, you might try choosing to use quicktime
to convert your movies and compress them in Sorensen or Cinepak. The end
user will need to have the quicktime plug-in and you will need to license it
with apple but that isn't too much trouble. And if your sounds are wav
format and you don't need to maintain cue points try converting them to
shockwave or mp3 format. If they don't need to be stereo convert them to
mono. Not knowing exactly what you have I don't know what else to offer but
these are a few simple tricks at reducing file sizes without sacrificing
much if any quality. Also if you are working on the MAC, quicktime Pro
available for about $30 and iTunes (free but needs OS 9.0.4 or higher) will
accomplish these tasks for you.
