Be sure that all scripts that you want to be parent scripts are 
marked as being parent scripts (Get Info).  If all are declared the 
correct way, new #bitmap will work the right way.  If one or more 
scripts containing a "new" handler are actually movie scripts, that 
script will override Director's new function and you will 
inadvertently not be able to create new #bitmap's.
