Ok I'm hoping someone semi knowledgeable is up. This is kind of a weird one. Can 'files' that exist in ram be uploaded/saved somehow? Here's the overview: I have a shockwave module thta must record a student audio file, and upload said file to a server. The xtra I'm using (a plugin to shockwave, sort of, for those not in the know) can prompt the user for a directory to save a file to.. in authoring and as a standalone, I can get the filepath to said directory; in shockwave it's disabled as a security thing. now, I can also record the sound into ram, which is where my question comes from; since both are sound files setup in ways that the computer understand, one just being a 'physical' entity of the sound, is there a way to send the contents of the ram file with perhaps a mime prefix in a way that the server can save it?
