I suggested Australian MPs use devices approved by ASD on networks appropriate for the sensitivity of information being communicated. There is no point in the PM sending selfies from a Sydney 333 bus to the public via a secret secure government network. Sending unclassified information which is then made public, via a secure network, may compromise the security of that network. No, I was saying the same requirement to keep a record of government business applies whatever medium is used. This was in response to a question as to if the PM's actions were similar to Mrs. Clinton, where it is alleged a non-government email service was used in an attempt to circumvent record keeping requirements. -- Tom Worthington FACS CP, TomW Communications Pty Ltd. t: 0419496150 The Higher Education Whisperer http://blog.highereducationwhisperer.com/ PO Box 13, Belconnen ACT 2617, Australia http://www.tomw.net.au Liability limited by a scheme approved under Professional Standards Legislation Adjunct Senior Lecturer, Research School of Computer Science, Australian National University http://cs.anu.edu.au/courses/COMP7310/ _______________________________________________ Link mailing list Link@mailman.anu.edu.au http://mailman.anu.edu.au/mailman/listinfo/link
