Hi everybody,

A new version of Linphone for desktop platforms has been released today. That
new
version does not come with new features for end-users but aims to stabilize the
existing
code by bringing performance enhancements and bug fixes.

Among changes since the last version, let's talk about:
     * An effort has been made to improve performances of H264
encoding/decoding on
MacOSX.
     * Bug fixes have been made around presence sharing. It was not possible
to a given
user to forbid one of its contact from seeing its presence status once it has
authorized it.
In concrete terms, unchecking the "Allow that contact to see my presence
status"
checkbox in contact settings did not have any effect if it had been checked
before.
     * Performance enhancements have been made in presence list sharing
feature.
     * For developers using Liblinphone, an abstraction has been developed to
easily add
other text message encryption implementations.

*Security vulnerability fix:* please note that this release fixes a security
vulnerability that
has been introduced in the last release i.e. Linphone Desktop 3.10.2. The issue
concerns
the TLS negotiation between Linphone and SIP proxies, which are vulnerable to
'man-in-
the-middle' attacks since the Common Name fields of certificates delivered by
proxies was
not challenged anymore with the SIP URI used to connect on them. That is why we
highly
recommend users using Linphone 3.10.x to update to Linphone 3.11.x.
