Hello! There might be a bug in the registration process on linphone.org. Here is the sequence of actions that might have caused it and an attempt to guess the possible fix.
I've launched the app and picked the "Create an account on linphone.org" Then I've filled the user name, e-mail and password. Then the x-server hung, and I've restarted the session, killing all running apps. All the things listed before happened yesterday or the day before. I got no e-mail from linphone confirming the registration, so today I've decided to try to create the account again. The login is taken, attempts to restore the password using the e-mail and login failed with the message "account not found". My guesses about the reason: there is no timeout or a too long timeout for removing the accounts that had no registration confirmation. (I'm sure that the registration confirmation actually exists.) Possible solution: add a "We have sent an e-mail to you, confirm your registration in N hours. If you do not confirm it, your account will be removed." or a similar thing with the corresponding backstage. Deb package: linphone Version: 3.6.1-2.4+b1 System: Debian Jessie I would be very grateful if the administrators of linphone.org could e-mail me and help to recover the account. I admit I could re-register with a new login, but I'm really sad about the inability to use the one I attempted to register with. -- Yours sincerely, Danila Shershukov M: +7(916) 704-19-49 _______________________________________________ Linphone-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/linphone-users
