Flatpak compatibility starts with Ubuntu 16.04 / Linux Mint 18.
Major OS upgrade takes time and can be tricky so i guess that i have
to postpone the Linphone trial.
Okay, I'm holding my hat in hand and bent low begging for forgiveness.
I got the info wrong. I'm now running "Linphone 3.7.0" on my 10.9 system
and it does work.
This is what happens when I'm in a hurry to answer (to be helpful) and
not fully awake.
I will offer whatever I can to make up for the screwup.
