Using linphone-android, I missed a call, so woke my phone up and found Linphone was just not running.
I do have both "Background mode" and "Enable service notification" enabled and I have set the battery manager to disable managing Linphone. The end of the log before I restarted it shows: 2019-03-27 09:35:28:011 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Duration of [Get chat rooms.]: 9ms. 2019-03-27 09:35:28:012 [belle-sip] MESSAGE Root ca path set to /data/user/0/org.linphone.debug/files/share/linphone/rootca.pem 2019-03-27 09:35:28:012 [linphone-android] MESSAGE [Platform Helper] onLinphoneCoreStart, network monitoring is true 2019-03-27 09:35:28:012 [linphone-android] MESSAGE [Platform Helper] Registering network callbacks 2019-03-27 09:35:28:013 [linphone-android] MESSAGE [Platform Helper] [Network Manager 26] ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permission is granted 2019-03-27 09:35:28:024 [linphone-android] MESSAGE [Platform Helper] Registering doze receiver 2019-03-27 09:35:28:026 [linphone-android] MESSAGE [Platform Helper] Registering interactivity receiver 2019-03-27 09:35:28:030 [linphone-android] MESSAGE [Platform Helper] No connectivity: setting network unreachable 2019-03-27 09:35:28:031 [linphone-android] MESSAGE New global state [Configuring] 2019-03-27 09:35:28:031 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Linphone core [0x7b3e09e800] notified [global_state_changed] 2019-03-27 09:35:28:031 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Linphone core [0x7b3e09e800] notified [configuring_status] 2019-03-27 09:35:28:032 [linphone-android] MESSAGE New global state [On] 2019-03-27 09:35:28:040 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Checking for new version at: https://www.linphone.org/releases/android/RELEASE 2019-03-27 09:35:28:041 [belle-sip] MESSAGE get_jni_env(): thread successfuly attached 2019-03-27 09:35:28:044 [belle-sip] MESSAGE bellesip_wake_lock_acquire(): Android wake lock [belle-sip send channel] acquired [ref=0x29d6] 2019-03-27 09:35:28:044 [belle-sip] MESSAGE channel [0x7b1f704e80]: starting send background task with id=[29d6]. 2019-03-27 09:35:28:044 [belle-sip] MESSAGE channel [0x7b1f704e80]: starting resolution of www.linphone.org 2019-03-27 09:35:28:044 [belle-sip] MESSAGE channel 0x7b1f704e80: state RES_IN_PROGRESS 2019-03-27 09:35:28:045 [belle-sip] ERROR resconf dns_resconf_loadandroid error 2019-03-27 09:35:28:045 [belle-sip] ERROR Error loading dns server addresses. 2019-03-27 09:35:28:045 [belle-sip] ERROR resconf dns_resconf_loadandroid error 2019-03-27 09:35:28:045 [belle-sip] ERROR Error loading dns server addresses. 2019-03-27 09:35:28:045 [belle-sip] ERROR channel_res_done: DNS resolution failed for www.linphone.org 2019-03-27 09:35:28:045 [belle-sip] MESSAGE channel 0x7b1f704e80: state ERROR 2019-03-27 09:35:28:081 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Table already up to date: duplicate column name: call_id. 2019-03-27 09:35:28:107 [liblinphone] MESSAGE linphone_core_get_call_history(): completed in 26 ms 2019-03-27 09:35:28:107 [liblinphone] WARNING nothing to migrate, skipping... 2019-03-27 09:35:28:109 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Start transaction 0x7fd3202700 in MainDb::importLegacyHistory. 2019-03-27 09:35:28:112 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Rollback transaction 0x7fd3202700 in MainDb::importLegacyHistory. 2019-03-27 09:35:28:114 [liblinphone] MESSAGE linphone_core_fetch_friends_lists_from_db(): 0 results fetched, completed in 0 ms 2019-03-27 09:35:28:116 [linphone-android] WARNING [Manager] MediaStreamer : 8 cores detected and configured 2019-03-27 09:35:28:117 [liblinphone] WARNING nothing to migrate, skipping... 2019-03-27 09:35:28:118 [linphone-android] MESSAGE [Push Notification] firebase push sender id 755770037818 2019-03-27 09:35:28:136 [mediastreamer] ERROR Cannot open camera 0: Fail to connect to camera service 2019-03-27 09:35:28:146 [mediastreamer] ERROR Cannot open camera 1: Fail to connect to camera service 2019-03-27 09:35:28:150 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Start transaction 0x7fd3202740 in MainDb::getUnreadChatMessageCount. 2019-03-27 09:35:28:153 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Rollback transaction 0x7fd3202740 in MainDb::getUnreadChatMessageCount. 2019-03-27 09:35:28:155 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Start transaction 0x7fd3202740 in MainDb::getUnreadChatMessageCount. 2019-03-27 09:35:28:156 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Rollback transaction 0x7fd3202740 in MainDb::getUnreadChatMessageCount. 2019-03-27 09:35:28:157 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Start transaction 0x7fd3202740 in MainDb::getUnreadChatMessageCount. 2019-03-27 09:35:28:158 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Rollback transaction 0x7fd3202740 in MainDb::getUnreadChatMessageCount. 2019-03-27 09:35:28:159 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Start transaction 0x7fd3202740 in MainDb::getUnreadChatMessageCount. 2019-03-27 09:35:28:161 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Rollback transaction 0x7fd3202740 in MainDb::getUnreadChatMessageCount. 2019-03-27 09:35:28:162 [liblinphone] MESSAGE Linphone core [0x7b3e09e800] notified [global_state_changed] 2019-03-27 09:35:28:164 [linphone-android] MESSAGE [Manager] Android >= 5.1 we disable the download of OpenH264 2019-03-27 09:35:28:164 [linphone-android] MESSAGE H264Helper setH264Mode MODE_AUTO - I don't know if that's identifying anything abnormal or not. But looking at it again, it appears to be stopped again, and not answering calls. Also seems to have racked up 17% of battery time up from the few percent it has been for the last day or two. Looking at the log, it is not lost on me all of the unreplied REGISTERs all night long. But I don't see these in the packet sniff trace I have running between the phone and the PBX so I don't think they were leaving the phone. I do have a nice long registration expiry set: 172800 so re- registration should not be required terribly frequently. The full log can be found at: http://brian.interlinx.bc.ca/linphone-stopped.txt Cheers, b.
