I have never used an AppImage before. I followed Eric's suggestion and
tried the AppImage and it is working.
The version I downloaded is
Desktop 4.2.2 - Qt5.12.5
Core 4.4.0-13-gc99cb9c88
It seems like a much better GUI than ships with Ubuntu in its official
rep. I will use this on my desktop in future.
