What's going on is a bug in the kernel. If you can reboot your machine,
logon from the console, and examine the system log, you might be able to
find a "kernel oops" that can be decoded and submitted to the kernel
developers for their review. Oh, and while you're logged on, you might want
to clear out your iptables list until you're ready to recreate the problem,
or test the fix.

Subject: kernel panic!

Hello,

I have activated module iptables as a dynamic firewall (blocking incoming
connections, but allowing communication started
by user). When I tried telnet to this client on a blocked port I got the
following message on VM console:

Welcome to SuSE SLES-7 (s390) - Kernel 2.4.7-SuSE-SMP (console).

linuxvm login: ip_tables: (c)2000 Netfilter core team
ip_conntrack (1024 buckets, 8192 max)
Kernel panic: misaligned (__u32 *) in __xchg

In interrupt handler - not syncing
HCPGIR450W CP entered; disabled wait PSW 000A0000 801B41D0

What is going on?
