Yes. 1. When installing DB2 don't use the examples. Use common sense and make sure you read the instructions carefully. 2. Make sure the installation medium you use is consistent with you operating system. Watch for mistakes in upper and lower case. 3. Make sure the installation has an X-Windows environment. I used VNC and it saved the day. You do not need KDE or Gnome. 4. Call IBM Support. These guys are the best.
