I have to take exeption to that statement, as it has been my experience that they send you a "we'll get right back to you" e-mail and then do not follow through. I've asked for pricing and support offerings three times now and I've been rebuffed 3 times.
I'm having my IBM people pursue it for me this time. |---------+----------------------------> | | "Post, Mark K" | | | <[EMAIL PROTECTED]| | | m> | | | Sent by: Linux on| | | 390 Port | | | <[EMAIL PROTECTED]| | | IST.EDU> | | | | | | | | | 04/20/2002 09:58 | | | AM | | | Please respond to| | | Linux on 390 Port| | | | |---------+----------------------------> >--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | | | To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | | cc: | | Subject: Re: Distribution pricing comparisons | >--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| One thing to keep in mind about SuSE's pricing is that the cost per processor goes down as the number of processors goes up. That is the cost of support for a two processor system is less than 2X the cost of support for a one processor system. I also echo Gordon's sentiment. Contact SuSE directly and _ask_. They're more than happy to tell you their prices. Mark Post
