Thanks, using dasdfmt did solve the problem and I also had to IPL after dasdfmt before I could run Anaconda.

Depending on the world you come from, people may think that it is enough to only format cylinder 0 and label the volume. It is, but only when you dasdfmt the disk before using fdasd. Rob
