Hello from Gregg C Levine David? You have actually made a wrong post. A KIM-1, was (or is), a 6502 based system, built by Mostek. It spoke native assembler, and BASIC was available as a ROM option. I think it had the maximum of 8KB. So there. And yes, the PDP-8 was a micro-programmable design. It was designed, and built that way. Oh, and so was the PDP-11. Also the S/3X0 line.
