Has anyone any thoughts (sensible or otherwise) about keeping a penguin colony up to date with it's software?
We have a SuSE base system from which we cut all new systems. I try to keep the base system up to date. The problems come when a) we have to roll out a fix to all our systems. I don't want to log on to all of them in turn. b) we want to install a new piece of software that is not on the base system and the version on the delivery CD images may (or may not) have been superseded with new maintenance.
