Note that we do not believe Linux is ready for every user, but it has
certainly reached the place where it is good enough for more than just
a few niche users.

Why are we using Linux on the desktop? In many cases because our jobs
are very related to Linux (application development, IGS, sales). In
other cases because the IBMer wanted to try new technology.
