On the affected system, is the xf86 rpm installed?

Try:
rpm -qa | grep xf86


[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/bb/etc> rpm -qf /usr/X11R6/bin/xterm

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/bb/etc> rpm -qa | grep xf86
xf86_glx-4.2.0-87
