Computer pioneers and National Medal of Technology awardees Erich Bloch, Fred Brooks, Jr. and Bob Evans, current IBM technology chief Nick Donofrio and the Computer History Museum cordially invite you to a conversation about the extraordinary System/360 project. Heralded by Fortune Magazine in 1965 as the "$5,000,000,00 Gamble," the System/360, launched on April 7, 1964, created a compatible computer family that helped revolutionize the computer industry. This event, hosted by the Computer History Museum and sponsored by IBM, provides a behind-the-scenes view of the tough decisions made by some of the people who made them. Learn how the System/360 helped transform the government, science and commercial landscape. The event will be held on April 7, 2004 at the Computer History Museum, 1401 N.
