Hello , We tried installing Suse Linux Enterprise Server 8 on a MP3000 processor. The OS installed ok. When we tried to apply the service pack 3 using the Yast2 tool. We get an installation failed message:
patch cd update was executed from YaST2. all download completed successfully. ... then they get the "installation failed" message for the last patch. (Embedded image moved to file: pic15534.gif) upon execution of "uname -a", we can see that the kernel version remains at 2.4.19-3suse-SMP, but the date changed to Apr 28, 2003. Has anyone encountered this problem installing service pack in SLES8 ? Where can we find more info about why the service pack installation failed ? Please advise. Thanks.
